Clarence (Dickie) Moore passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2024, surrounded by his girls. Dearly beloved husband of Joan (nee Maitland). Loving and devoted father to Andrew (Robyn) and Katherine (Eric). Papa to Kenzie, Brady, Drew, Isabella, Kristen and Fiona. Predeceased by his parents, Gerald Moore and Ethel Baxter. Dickie leaves behind his brothers, Dennis (Linda), David (Dianne) and his sister, Sharon (Jean), his brother-in-law, John (Bonnie) as well as many nephews and nieces. He also leaves behind his two loyal furry companions, Brodie and Fergus.

Dickie grew up in Brownsburg, Quebec and was an avid hockey player who made friends easily and always up for a good time. Dickie and Joan met on the first day of grade 1, although they didn’t start dating until 16 years of age. Those who knew Dickie well knew he was one of a kind – an honest and kind person, who valued hard work and making those around him laugh. He was proud of his children and loved his family fiercly. Above all, his love for his wife of 50 years was always present.

Dickie and Joan retired in L’Orignal, Ontario, enjoying their winters in Florida. Dickie could often be found golfing, enjoying motorcycle rides with his partner in crime (Dave) and spending time outdoors whether it be long walks with Joan or taking care of his yard. Dickie doted on his 6 grandchildren and was always up to spending time with them and especially enjoyed watching their sporting games, whether it be hockey or ringette.

Special thanks to the wonderful care that Dickie received during these past months from his support team. A private service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
