It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce Gratton (nee Moore), who left us peacefully on Saturday, June 28 2025, at the remarkable age of 94 years old.

We admired her wonderful strength and resilience as she dealt with two serious heart conditions over the past year and a half. She leaves behind her loving husband of 66 years, Jean Gratton, who will deeply miss her presence, love and support as he copes with his Alzheimer’s diagnosis. She is predeceased by her beloved parents, John Moore and Malvina Gagné and by her 16 much loved and cherished brothers and sisters, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She is also deeply missed by her loving nieces, Brenda Moore (Don), Lise Massicotte, Linda Massicotte, Louise Massicotte (Maurice), her great niece, Ashley-Ann and her great nephews, Ariel and Alex, as well as countless other cherished family members; nieces, nephews and friends.

Joyce had a deep appreciation for family, nature, animals, music and for the beauty in everyday life. She was also an avid reader and her and Jean loved to vacation in Florida for many years. They lived happily in Deux-Montagnes and then in Saint-Eustache for over 50 years, before moving to Pierrefonds in the West Island of Montreal last year. We will always remember her warmth, her kindness, her smile and her generous spirit. That kindness and compassion touched the lives of many.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at the Saint-Eustache hospital during her 3 1/2 week stay in January/February 2024 for their truly excellent care and the Château Pierrefonds Residence for their compassionate and attentive care.

In keeping with Joyce’s wishes, no Funeral Service will be held.
