On October 21st 2023, Sergeant Gerald Thomas (Retired) peacefully passed away at the Lachute Residence, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Acres. Loving father to Debbie ( Randy
Sinclair), Don (Darlene Jamison) and Jim (Patty Jamison). Cherished grandfather to Stephanie, Brittany, Kyle, Stephen and Nicole.

Tom is predeceased by his brother, Gordie, and he will be greatly missed by his sister-in-law Marjorie Delorme as well as many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to sincerely thank all the staff at the Lachute Residence for the exceptional care and love given to Tom. A heartfelt thank you to Stacey McCaffrey, who lovingly cared for Tom in his final years.

Tom fulfilled his dream of becoming a Mountie and served his country through service in the RCMP and CSIS until his retirement in 1984. He was particulary fond of his time with the musical ride where he became fast friends with a horse named Smokey. Tom and Smokey once travelled to London by boat where they performed for the Queen. Tom enjoyed his days at Lake Louisa curling, golfing, swimming and sitting on his deck overlooking beautiful Lake Louisa while sipping on his favourite cocktail.

A Celebration of life will be held in the summer of 2024 at Lake Louisa to celebrate both Tom and Margaret.
¨¨ The Lake¨¨ was their happy place, it was where they met and hub for all things Jamison, which included a continuous open door to family, friends and neighbours.
