It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of F. Anthony (Tony) Hungerbuhler, at the age of 86, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10 2025, in Blainville, Quebec.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara Wilson. Loving father to Andrew (Brigitte Ouimet) and Christopher (Josée Rochefort). Cherished grandfather to Tyler, Justine, Madison and Kelsey.

Tony was a devoted educator, both in the classroom and on the ski slopes. He had a lifelong passion for sports, music, photography and travel. Always with a camera by his side, he loved capturing moments and sharing them with others.

He was a gifted storyteller who found joy in connecting with people, whether longtime friends or new acquaintances. Throughout his life, Tony gave back to his community in many ways: through his involvement in Community Concerts, coaching students on the CBC television show Reach for the Top, editing the LRHS Yearbook, contributing to the Lachute Masonic Lodge, and, in later years, supporting the Presbyterian Church in St. Andrews.

To honour Tony’s life and legacy, a farewell ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 2, at the St. Andrew’s East Presbyterian Church, 5, rue John Abbott, Saint-André-d’Argenteuil, QC. J0V 1X0

The family will receive condolences from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. followed by a brief service and reception.
