A full and very independent life lived – Bev managed her own home and property, including the firewood, in Lakefield (Gore),Québec into her early 80’s. She certainly lived life on her own terms and could be a tough nut to crack.

During her career, as a registered nurse, Bev spent over 40 years in a profession she loved, working in the public system at the Royal Vic in Montreal before transitioning to caring for seniors in their homes.

She excelled at sports. Basketball was her forte during high school and college. Never one to be idle, Bev even dabbled in curling, bartending (The Commons) and catering over the years.

Bev was a manual transmission driver, superb cook, cribbage teacher, and a wonderful loving mother, as well as aunt to many. Word puzzles were always at hand. She was a crossword guru, Wonderword pro and Sudoku rookie. Puzzles were a part of her life to her last days. As an animal lover, she enjoyed the company of many cats and her dog, Colby, who brought her much comfort and joy – a true companion.

Bev left us comfortably and peacefully on February 14, 2026 at Lachute, Quebec. She was predeceased by her father Hebert McDonald, mother Rita, brother Kenneth, sister Ruth Allen, and son Christopher Wrong. She was the former spouse of Brian Wrong.

She leaves behind nephews Scott and Kirk Allen as well as a multitude of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the nursing and PSW staff at the Lachute Residence for their care and compassion during Bev’s time with them. A special thank you to Lisa Charlebois, Bev’s primary caregiver.
