At the Lachute Residence, on August 15th 2025, at the age of 84, passed away Mr. Harold Jeffrey Smith, son of the late Harold Smith and the late Eva Hazel. Beloved husband of 62 years, to Mrs. Florence McGill. Loving father to Kirk (Danielle), Paul and Sarah (Kit). Cherished grandfather to Rachael (Etienne), Lynn, Steven, Zachary, Mikael (Vanessa), Rebecca, Shekina and Angela. Proud great-grandfather to Elias, Cora, Theodore, Logan, Preston, Braydon, Jolene and Arthur. He also leaves behind his sister, Nancy (Bob), his brother, Ken, nephews, nieces and many wonderful friends.

After Jeffrey graduated from Brownsburg High Shool in 1959, he went on to become a Mill Wright in Lachute, where he worked for Price Wilson (Cascades) until 1996. In 1961, he met Florence McGill, while on a tour of Kilmar mine. Jeffrey and Florence were married on September 1st 1962, and had three children, Kirk, Paul and Sarah. Since his retirement in 1996, he enjoyed spending his free time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, he also liked to play golf, fishing and of course his remarkable garden.

The Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Saturday August 30th, at 1:00 pm. The family will be present at 12:00 pm.  and will receive your Condolences. Arrangements entrusted to
